Dave Birmingham, was the activist who created the NGO “Greenpeace”. Their website states: “People willing to do extraordinary things to protect the environment.” The workers from their campaign had described Dave as the legend of nature, because he physical threats, faced jail and political persecution. However, he always remained calm. With his persevering ambition, he continued working for the society and nature. The environment has benefited, Greenpeace has taken initiative to speak with the government about setting the “green” society (Source).
Greenpeace is now at an international level because it is running in different countries, such as Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Scotland, United Kingdom, South Korea, Brazil, Indonesia, China (Tianxi), New Jersey (USA) and France. Collaboration is the best thing that people can do to help the environment, and protect every where that living things are existing (Source).
During 1971, a brave group of activists set sail to Amchitka Island off Alaska by boat to try and stop a US nuclear weapons test. An old fishing ship was called “The Arctic Sunrise” and this is where their story begins. This organization is trying to keep the ocean clean and hygienic, not only in the sea or land. It will change the environment by detoxifying the atmosphere and by planting more trees. This means that carbon dioxide will be absorbed and replaced by oxygen. They will try to protect the green and peaceful natural world and, hopefully, help people to understand the significance of protecting the natural environment (Source).
When the natural environment is destroyed, plants are not able to survive which will affect animals and, in turn, also affect the human population. The environment is, without doubt, one of the most important things in our lives, and "Sparkle of Nature" is here to protect it.
